In the year 1994, Ms. Padmavathi along with a couple of her friends formed a small team and started serving in underprivileged sectors. Then on 1st January 1996, they coined the name Tapasvi, which was later officially registered on 26th June 1997, bearing the Registration No: 3052/1997. “ Old Age believe me, is a good and pleasant thing. It is true you are gently shouldered off the stage, but then you are given such a comfortable front stall as a spectator. ” – Confucius.
Tapasvi serves poor, abandoned and helpless senior citizens who wish to age gracefully with dignity and need assistance with daily living.
“Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future.” – J. F. Kennedy
We adopt children who are orphans, semi-orphans, challenged and economically backward and provide them with the basic necessities – free food, clothing and shelter, and provide them with modern education system in our school by fostering critical thinking, life skills, value education, analytical skills and decision-making skills, apart from the regular academic curriculum. We prepare students for the realities of the modern world.
“I measure the progress of a community by the degree of progress which women have achieved.” – B. R. Ambedkar
Women’s rights mainly include equality, dignity, and freedom from discrimination as per our constitution. Empowerment entitles people to have power and control over their own decisions.
Tapasvi believes that empowered women will be able to exercise their power for the benefit of self, make meaningful contributions to the well-being of society and gain respect for themselves.
Sheltering of old, unproductive and abandoned cows in traditional cow shelters (gaushalas) is an ancient practice in India. Their slaughter is illegal in most states of our country today. Cow seva (caring for the cows) is considered one of the highest forms of service.
We take pride and pleasure in serving Gau or Cow by engaging in cleaning, maintenance and Go Daana activities.
There are mainly 3 dimensions of Sustainability – Environmental conservation, Social equality and inclusion and Economic progress. The 17 SDGs provided by the UN, includes protecting and preserving our planet’s natural resources.
Hence along with the United Nations, International organizations such as NGOs, aid organizations, and even governments are making continuous sponsoring efforts to ensure that the goal of sustainable development is achieved for every individual across the globe.
I heard about Tapasvi from a colleague and I went to their location to see their service. They warmly welcomed me and explained me all their current and upcoming projects. I really like their vision and their dedication. I hope they help more and more needy people with all people’s support.
I’ve been part of Tapasvi’s work for a long time and feel happy every time they reach out to me for any help. I spend most of my weekends with them and feel relieved when I see the Kid’s smiles. 🙂
You are doing great job…I want to applaud you for your dedication and humbleness. may the lord bless you always.
