“Taking care of the environment is not an obligation. Our environment is our life” — Sadhguru

There are mainly 3 dimensions of Sustainability - Environmental conservation, Social equality and inclusion and Economic progress. The 17 SDGs provided by the UN aim to transform the world in partnership with developed and developing countries alike. They are a call to end poverty and inequality, ensuring that all people can enjoy good health, education, justice and prosperity while simultaneously protecting and preserving our planet's natural resources.

Hence, along with the United Nations, international organizations such as NGOs, aid organizations, and even governments are making continuous sponsoring efforts to ensure that the goal of sustainable development is achieved for every individual across the globe.

Environmental Conservation

The existence of Human Life is impossible without the complementary existence of a Healthy Ecosystem. As of today, environmental conservation is one of the most debated topics across various continents, as it is the major factor in the battle against climate change and global warming.

Below is a list of the main concerns that drive the need to save the environment from further degradation:

Tapasvi plans to engage deeply in environmental conservation by manufacturing and promoting eco-friendly products and organic farming. These activities would entail providing employment opportunities apart from contributing to the preservation of natural resources. Making jute or cloth bags and Tapasvi's Raw Honey product are a few steps towards achieving the same.

Organic Farming

The importance of organic farming has increased through the years to promote food security allied with minimal harm to the ecosystem. Organic Farming is considered the best alternative to avoid the ill effects of chemical-based farming, which causes the soil to turn infertile and the pesticides cause the products to turn dangerous to consume.

Organic farming is a set of agricultural production practices that maintain and enhance the health of ecosystems and soil biodiversity. It is done by using diverse species, incorporating crop rotations, and using natural pest management techniques.

Organically grown foods generally contain higher levels of antioxidants, certain micronutrients, no harmful chemicals or pesticides and fertilizers and taste better. Therefore, organic farming not only promotes good health in humans but most importantly, aids in the sustainability of the planet and in maintaining ecological balance.

India is home to 30% of total organic producers in the world, having 2.30 million ha. approximately.
