ABOUT US

Tapasvi has been operational since 25 years and is a secular, non-governmental, non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit making organization, founded in the year 1997 by Ms. Padmavathi, driven by her passion for service to mankind.

In the year 1994, Ms. Padmavathi along with a couple of her friends formed a small team and started serving in underprivileged sectors. Then on 1st January 1996, they coined the name Tapasvi, which was later officially registered on 26th June 1997, bearing the Registration No: 3052/1997. Tapasvi also has 12A, 80G, FCRA registration certificates in place.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Women's rights mainly include equality, dignity, and freedom from discrimination as per our constitution. Empowerment entitles people to have power and control over their own decisions.

Tapasvi believes that empowered women will be able to exercise their power for the benefit of self, make meaningful contributions to the well-being of society and gain respect for themselves.

CHILDREN'S WELFARE CENTRE

We adopt children who are orphans, semi-orphans, challenged and economically backward and provide them with the basic necessities - free food, clothing and shelter, and modern education focusing on critical thinking and life skills.

ELDERS' CARE CENTRE

"Old Age believe me, is a good and pleasant thing. It is true you have power and control over your own decisions." - Confucius

Tapasvi serves poor, abandoned and helpless senior citizens who wish to age gracefully with dignity and need assistance with daily living.

GOSHALA

Sheltering of old, unproductive and abandoned cows in traditional cow shelters (gaushalas) is an ancient practice in India. Cow seva (caring for the cows) is considered one of the highest forms of service.

CSR COLLABORATIONS

We have forayed into CSR collaborations in recent times, associated with Infosys and SBI for various projects under our women empowerment wing and beyond.

CONSERVATION OF RESOURCES

We promote sustainability through Environmental conservation, Social equality, and Economic progress. We align with the UN’s 17 SDGs to protect our planet's resources.
